We arrived at the airport a few hours apart. My flight was 3 hours late, so I did not have to wait too long for Kirsten and Igor who traveled on another airline. [Cathay] We took the train and Grab [ an uber taxi] and checked in. Here was a view from my hotel room plus my room :) Then we headed out.

The first day we headed down for a dinner/sunset cruise on the river. We actually found this to be the best mode of transportation to get around Bangkok. This is myself, with Kirsten.

And above us there was live music as we traveled the river. A lovely video of the complete view of the river and sides of banks of the river. Day One complete as we headed back to the hotel.
