Well, I left off in mid July right before I set up for K Days. What can I say about the show? Probably what most vendors stated. HORRIBLY laid out and whoever designed the layout needs to step away and let someone who has vison take over. My booth was horribly placed, and I changed places three days later. I feel many vendors will step away next year. Booths were doubled in cost as the 6 x 10 were taken out so you had no choice but to purchase the 10 x 10 almost doubling your cost. Most small businesses will not be back next year. Hopefully by the complaints, of which there were many, the Explore Edmonton will take the vendors complaints this year and pay attention to them. My income was down from last year but that was also based upon the booth increase and bad placement.
BUT!! Let us move past that and say BVJ made up for any lack of business 😊 Came out of K Days and on the Monday headed there to pick up my booth stuff then rested. Tuesday worked on the newsletter, created two invoices for two corporate events I am hired for and then on Wednesday headed to Camrose and set up BVJ. I drove back and forth as my loving baby China [my 20-year-old cat] remains at home. By Sunday the drive is long and tedious BUT!! Knowing I had 10 days off counteracted the feeling as I drove 😊
I had two friends over for dinner on the Tuesday right after K Days as my buddy’s husband had offered to look at my massage chair that appears to have a slight rubbing of something inside that makes a weird sound. Truly bad service from Back Plus out of Calgary and I will not be buying any other massage chairs from this company. SO!! Based upon my forgetfulness of how I like to rest on the day after the show I had to go grocery shopping as my friends are not vegan and I wanted to create quite a few dishes. So along with mowing the lawn on the Monday I also made the chocolate cake, panna cotta and curried cauliflower, lentil, and potato soup. Tuesday arrived and I completed with menu with sausage rolls, shepherds pie, curried rice, and the Indian dal. I had also gone to the liquor store and picked up a sweet mango wine and a bottle of black sambuca.
My guests arrived and Joanne had expressed an interest in my Nuga Best bed that sits in the basement. It heats up with a tourmaline base and lifts you up and cracks your back and literally soaks heat into your spine while fixing any sore spots 😊 I had heated up the bed prior to them arriving and brought her down there for the 30-minute treatment while her hubby looked at my chair. Whilst they were occupied, I made the last of the dishes. A fresh pea soup served cold. Sadly, the almond non sweetened plant-based milk was not the correct one to use. I should have made the almond milk fresh from almonds, but I didn’t. Her hubby ate it, Joanne ate 1/2 and although I ate it, I threw out the rest the next day. BUT!! The 2nd soup they loved and presumably the rest of the meal as they ate it all. Joanne and I drank the wine and had one shot of black sambuca. Her hubby to my surprise does not drink at all.
Best of all I had made so much food I was able to add another 6 meals to my freezer and have 3 days worth of food to myself hence no cooking needed 😊
My lesson from that enjoyable evening was to not invite guests right after back-to-back shows but to rest and then invite 😊 HOWEVER!! Wednesday arrived and apart from the accountant stopping to pick up my GST I literally did nothing other than read, watch TV and a wee bit of gardening.
Talking about reading I have found my new favorite author Stuart Woods. I have ordered eight of his books so far, read seven and am thrilled that he has at least another 40 books that I have not read and plan to order over the winter months. 😊
Thursday my granddaughter arrived from BC for her birthday weekend. Originally, we were going to shop on her birthday [Sunday] but she texted me and said if I wanted alone time with her why not shop today. I am a spur of the moment person in social settings, and this suited me fine. Off to the mall we went, stopped for lunch at Earls and to my GREAT delight they had added the plant-based pizza onto their menu. WELL! You know I ordered that. 😊 To my delight it equalled the south side Earls in taste and quality 😊 Then onto shopping where I bought the Dyson hair straightener thingy and some face cream as she asked for. The we stopped for cold frappes and chatted. Dropped her off and said ‘see you Sunday’ as we still had supper planned that day.
Then Friday arrived and my yearly carnival, one of my corporate events came up. Last year it coincided with the Fringe, so I was unable to do it, but this year I was back. I have been doing this event for about 10 years now and holy moly 😊 this year was just one solid line up for the 4 hours. Not a single minute went by that I was not talking and reading. I left driving home happy and knowing I still had rest time coming up. Took that seriously and only weeded the front garden, picked some green onions and fresh peas from the garden and chilled on the Saturday.
Now I wrote about this on Facebook so if you want to read the entire story go there!! Ordered a bra from Skims [Kim Kardashians line] as I have heard only good things about the comfort of the bras and a dress arrived! A gorgeous dress, skintight that only my granddaughter could wear and look good in!! Emailed the company and they told me to keep it and donate it. I gave it to my granddaughter on the Sunday who promptly took off her jeans and tee shirt and wore it proudly. I posted pics on FB. Then once my Amex was refunded I reordered the bra that I am patiently waiting for an email to say it has been sent. And I am hoping to get a bra this time LOL 😊 UPDATE: Bra arrived 😊
Igor, my granddaughter’s partner had arrived on the Friday so the three of us went downtown to Watari on Sunday as planned for an all you can eat style sushi’s, etc. etc. They do both the vegan and stuff that my family eats. I had my glass of plum wine there that I thoroughly enjoy, and we ate and chatted etc. OH YES!! And of course, a stop at my house for a shot of birthday black sambuca 😊 They left yesterday and are now safely back in BC.
And me? Took Monday [14th] to go and get groceries, picked up a small gift certificate for the gift I give at the Fringe for the volunteers who work so hard and then rested. I know this festival well LOL and it is an 11 day 12 hours a day of VERY busy work 😊
AND!!!! Today is August 28th and the 11 days Edmonton Fringe ended last night at 8pm. Another great year with a bit of weather intrusion but nevertheless I welcomed the rest when we closed and as a self-employed person you take the good with the bad in outdoor festivals. Today, I have to go and empty my tent and then get some kitty litter and REST 😊 Outdoor festivals appear to be more tiring than indoor festivals. I now have three glorious weeks off and will be working from my home office as of September 5th with only full reads. 😊
Picked up the Fringe stuff that I decorated my tent with on Monday [29th] and then stopped at the Community natural food grocery store to check it out. Then I stopped at Petsmart for kitty litter and treats.
Tomorrow China goes into surgery for a removal of her back tooth. I will update this paragraph before I upload the Chat 😊
UPDATING: China is back home now after we got up at 7 am {YUG!!] and arrived at 8am for her dental work. Based upon her age I took her to a dental cat specialist who specialises in safe and no abusive cat dental work. IE: She does not use the hook that keeps the mouth open wide during the work. China was put on fluids for three hours and I sat next to her and read my book. At around 11.30 am she went into surgery and had two teeth removed, cleaned, x-rayed, a little cap put on a front one, blood work taken, and the total cost was $3591.70. Yup, glad I worked all summer 😊 She came home with pain killers and some other stuff that I have to administer for four days and next Tuesday she goes back for her check up. The stitches are the ones that dissolve 😊 She was groggy yesterday but today she ate her breakfast and is acting normal 😊
Lastly groceries came to $377.11 as I stocked up with sorbet [YUM] Perrier water and all the usual stuff I buy. Fresh veggies, the groceries needed for the meals I talked about above and liquor for that meal was $45.29 and I still have almost a full bottle of the black sambuca. Tons of frozen meals still sit in my freezer so they will now be my main focus to finish up. Plus, the apple tree now had gifted me with another 500 apples LOL, so apple juice becomes my morning drink as opposed to the green juice I normally drink.
Tonight, [30th] it is the peak of the Blue Moon a MASSIVE powerful energy that under the sign of Pisces and the second full moon in the month of August I doubt many will see all three energies together again in their lifetime. Using my knowledge for a ton of stuff tonight 😊
And truly lastly, I will take a facial and haircut on the 31st. One last treat to my self was a pizza and now we enter into September.
Remember that you cannot turn time backwards. What you choose to do in the ‘now’ really creates your memories. I tend to live in the ‘now’ for my personal life 😊 I find so many people need to know what tomorrow brings and I ask ‘why’? The fun of ‘free time’ is just that. Do in the moment of time what you wish to do. Then the moment becomes positive. Then all memories are positive and the body balances.
Business is another action as I cannot control other peoples’ choices and I respect the fact that I need to apply early, pay and ensure my spot and that enables me to know what my year is bringing me, so I am able to plan accordingly. BUT!! I still focus in the ‘now’ when choosing my work.
One last comment as I wrote about this in a couple of newsletters a while ago. Just as I predicted!! The scare mongering is coming back and of course it would. Anyone who rushed to get the experiment created billions of dollars of profit for companies. [mainly Moderna] and why on earth would they stop now they know most will take anything into their bodies even when it is an experiment. AMAZING how many poisons have now been discovered and as it points out ‘we have been working on this for years and have now figured it out’.!!! LOL yup figured out that the weak will take anything so why bother with trials just let’s create another bogus scare and the 90% will run not walk to get something that they do not even research. Why bother with trials anymore.
If you have not heard due to your lack of watching the news etc. the 3 times stronger combined scare is being promoted and of course they have a cure for you. Just line up and take it so you do not get sick.!! And sadly, many will fall for this AGAIN!! Money is the source of all evil they say and stupidity follows that saying, is how I will put it 😊
Choose to bring peace to your body by meditating daily, NOT once a week or once a month it must be EVERY day as the energy creates a 24-hour connection. Break the connection and the energy weakens. Even when I am doing 14-hour days I make time for a 20-minute meditation in my massage chair. 😊 After doing all my summer festivals and reading tons of folks it always amazes me how few meditate. Hopefully my nagging has a few choosing to follow the advice on how to create a higher vibration and thus pull life towards you, so you do not have to seek it out 😊

IN MY OPINION
Hmmmm! Climate change?? Is it real or a hoax?
Looking at history I am reminded of the Ice Age. What caused that back then? If you google it no actual answer is 100% accurate BUT!! They ‘assume’ it was carbon dioxide and a shortage of it!! Also, the radiation of the sun is mentioned as the blame back millions of years ago. Interesting, yes?
We move to now and again the blame is on carbon dioxide BUT!!!!!!! Now we humans are causing it and all oil, gas, cows, cars, heating systems and more must go says our idiotic Prime Minster and all the gang that forms the world government. All must become electric.
Now that is a GREAT way to control people. Much like the digital banking system and 15 minute cities but I digress!!
My theory? Let’s look above at all the digital satellites and the fact that radiation from them is known to be leaking.

Now what illnesses are caused by radiation? I think even a five-year-old can answer that one. Cancer. What is the number one disease that seems to be increasing from foods, air etc.? Cancer.
Now the heat that arises from radiation itself seems to be the answer to fires that although we know many are human made IE: Idiots who drop cigarette, use ATV’s that create sparks and leaving campfires to spark etc. etc. a lot are caused by lightening strikes. Under the earth sits many fossil fuels. This creates the fires to burn longer and harder. BUT!! If radiation has been forming in the atmosphere would that not also be a factor?
Would radiation create the heat? Would radiation create the many illnesses that people have? And I ask with humor does radiation create an appetite stimulation? Because this now is a fat society and truly there is no reason for that either. However, that is another article later in the months to come 😊

However less food might be a great idea for some 😊 BUT!! No sun no food can grow and that is exactly how to starve the planet.
In history there have always been weather changes. However, the human population has never been as high and with the energy changing so will the weather. It is a GREAT excuse to once again auto hypnotize the weaker minds to believe that everything needs to be changed to clear this out.
NO FOLKS!! Once you have an electric car, have had to change your heating system to electric and anything else that cannot run on oil and gas the power is now in the grids. Simply shut down the grids and you cannot function. You cannot charge your car, heat your home, cook etc. THINK!! If when we have those nice hot sunny days they are already turning off the power grid in California on a rotating system because the grids cannot keep up with the demand what will they do here?
If they block out the Sun how are the solar panels going to charge? Seems not many people are standing up to this hype. Now if the Muslims can do a million people walk over their kids being subjected to being allowed to change their body parts at the age of 12 without the parents’ knowledge, I think the billions can wake up and save the planet from control of the so-called elite?
Just like the million who followed like sheep to the slaughter of their bodies with the C-poison shot so the same ones are believing the hype that will now control their lives. Why are people so weak minded?
Sadly, cell phones, social media and all tech that needs the satellites is here to stay. BUT!! It is my belief that the radiation from the junk above us is causing a lot of weather changes and just circulating the planet and causing chaos. I LOVE tech but there must be a better way??? Thus, giving the powers that be sitting in their power chairs directing the human race another excuse to change the way of life. Pay attention to China as that control is coming to Canada and other so called ‘free’’ countries.
As of May 31, 2023, there are 4,198 Starlink satellites in orbit, of which 3,542 are operational. That is a LOT of radiation. Perhaps the cause of the fires?????

CAT COSTS

Cat Costs: As I wrote above, China's dental work came to $3591.70. May I also point out that she has rarely had to go to a vet, so this cost is fine with me. Raw food came to $60.83. 4 bags of kitty litter came to $113.58 and treats of which I bought 2 months worth came to $64.90.
Tinned food was well stocked from last month and nothing else was needed 😊
The Total cost for August was $3831.01. All that just to keep her nice and healthy. 😊
That is for one cat I might remind people who are thinking of getting one. I am very lucky that as she ages, she is one of the rare cats that has stayed in GREAT health. 😊 I attribute this to good food, her daily exercise, and never having had any vaccines. Plus, the HUGE amount of love, I give her.
If you are thinking of getting a pet please know that from the cute stage, they grow with a personality to the adult stage. Animals feel unconditional love from their souls. They get attached and used to their homes. If you cannot give up 12-18 years and maybe longer, do NOT get a pet. It is not a companion till you find a mate, have a child, or decide to move to an apartment that will not allow pets, it is a companion for life. They also need dental care, checkups, and GOOD food. Not this cheap, no-nutrient food that I see so many people buy. Your pets will suffer later just as you would if all you ate was junk.
Look at rescue places for loving animals. These pets will not only be grateful, it's almost like they know you saved them and love and adore you for it. Think before you add to your life. Can you give this type of commitment? If the answer is yes then enjoy looking for your new companion. Think older if you can, for some reason, older pets are harder to re-home and they are much sadder as they wait not knowing what it was they did to be removed from their homes.

Second month of my Indian series. Create one monthly and get to realize how easy vegan cooking is.

For Indian food the spices below are always the ones we use so please stock up on them. Buy your spices once a year so the freshness is always there 😊
​
For Edmontonians there is a wonderful spice store on Whyte Ave just below 109th street. Or use an Indian store for purchase.
​
TIP: The easiest way to cook is to put all the ingredients out on the counter and then weigh and separate them before starting to cook. Read the recipe. If spices all going to be added at the same time take a bowl and measure or weigh them out. If liquids need cups etc. take jugs and make sure they are created. Chop all the veggies. Line them up and follow the recipe 😊

CHICKPEA TIKKA MASALA [Made on top of the stove]
​
Ingredients
2 tablespoons olive oil [or you can use vegetable oil]
1 large, diced onion [yellow]
1 teaspoon cumin seeds [ I used powder as I did not have seeds]
1 tablespoon ginger. [Use either grated fresh or the jar kind. I use the jar kind]
3-4 garlic cloves [ I again use the crushed jar kind]
1 tablespoon coriander
1 and 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
1 heaping teaspoon garam masala
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
½ teaspoon salt [I use Himalayan Sea salt]
2 cans of diced tomatoes
2 tablespoons tomato paste [if you buy the tube kind instead of the tin it will keep fresher longer]
28 oz of chickpeas [ buy the dried and make then in the Instant Pot] but if you wish to buy canned you need two cans.
1 cup of coconut milk [make sure you get a decent brand]
Place a large pot on medium heat. Add the oil and heat for a minute then add the onions, and cumin seeds or powder. Cook five minutes till the onions are golden in color. Add the garlic if you are using cloves and the ginger if you are using fresh. If not, add all the spices now. Cook for 2 minutes. Add the tins of tomatoes and cook for 4 minutes. Add the tomato paste, chickpeas, and coconut milk. Stir. Simmer [means turn the heat down to about the number 3 on the dial] for 25 minutes stirring occasionally.
Serve over rice or with naan bread or quinoa or couscous.

Where do we actually go after we shed the material body?
Now!! I do not claim to be God, I have never died and taken a video or pictures and come back. Nor has anyone I know. BUT!!!! I look around at the balance in NON-manmade things and marvel.
So let us start there. This is my belief as I trust whoever created this balance must be mighty bored with how we fear change and life in general. Around us is an energy that many have named an ‘aura’. As we have fingerprints unique to each and everyone of us, so we also have DNA unique to each and everyone of us. That in itself is amazing as no human today could replicate the balance of both. Billions of people before us have come and left each again with their own unique map. And perhaps billions will still arrive, but I speak about ‘now’ 😊
The aura, that I believe is the energy that forewarns us of danger, perks up our emotions to feel attracted to someone and so much more is all around us in a circle and clings to the skin. Now I believe that is unique to us just like the fingerprints etc. I believe that just like we pack luggage to suit the place we are leaving to take a vacation in, we also send our life ahead of us in an energy ball before our soul enters the physical.
If you were going to Mexico in the dead of winter, you would pack clothes for the heat not skis and sweaters. In the energy ball we pack the messages/actions of life that we activate by the emotional actions.
How does this ball of energy find us? First, as a child you act naturally until the life you live starts to jade you via other people’s thoughts and pushing their beliefs on you. That is why babies walk and talk at different times. Their ball of energy was programmed to set this in motion at their own time.
However, as you lose touch with the natural feelings and follow someone else’s beliefs the energy does not arrive. It hangs there and awaits the pull of magnetism that can only arrive when it is believed in and touched.
MEDITATION creates the larger energy field around us. It appears that each time we meditate the energy enhances for 24 hours. That is why people say they feel so much better when they do meditate. It brings to us our TRUE path not just actions of following along with routine and boredom.
I always say, ‘just because you cannot see it does not mean it is not there’.
People who follow religion based upon books trust that they are going to heaven so to speak. Some believe in hell. Only because it is written and many because they were brought up to believe this and it has been auto hypnotized into their subconscious daily until they believe it whole heartedly. Nothing wrong with this other than those of us who believe a different way is the path to enlightenment do not need it preached to us as many tend to do. Or worse still go to war against another group who believe, as is their right, in another written religion.
Now I look at the other side that I call ‘home’ in steps. Much like school. I do not believe that Mother Theresa and Hitler sit in the same place. Those who believe in heaven and hell will believe one is in heaven and one is in hell. BUT!! I do not. I see the other side as energy only.
By changing our energy, we get to move to another level of enlightenment as that is what shifting out of the heaviness does.
How one does that is first by believing 100% percent, and before I go on, the belief must be 100% for if you even have the slightest doubt then energy will not shift. So, we move back to finding the individual ball of energy that we sent alongside us when we chose to create another material life. With our 100% belief that it works we meditate and enhance the aura [the energy shield] around us. As this energy expands so that ball of energy [our own suitcase of life] finds us. This is why so many say, ‘right place right time’. It is all in the magnetism of energy.
BUT!!! Here is where most humans fail and never move up. They do not step through the doors of change. They use ‘fear’ of the unknown and doubt of the belief. Thus, the soul keeps coming back to try again.
I always say ‘it will all make perfect sense at the end ‘. However, I am not willing to wait till the end to find out that I have not moved up a level. [and hopefully MANY levels] 😊 I chose to believe 100% that my actions will show me the path. And so, I meditate daily keeping that power of the aura enlarged and am shown the path to follow. I also step through the doors, thank the Universe each time they reward me and keep on trekking. I can now hear the guides, Angels or whatever the energy beings are that sit on the other side in the pure form of energy. At the end of my meditation, I always ask in my mind ‘can you hear me’ and I usually hear ‘yes we can’ and then I ask, ‘am I doing the right life’ and hear back ‘just enjoy, yes you are’.
After all my doors opened once I chose to step onto the path, I walked through them. Man on man there were many doors 😊 I trusted 100% and strutted on 😊 Today I rely only upon myself for material, not using someone else’s hard work or their path to provide. Next, I use my own energy to provide the inner feelings and ‘moving on up’ LOL. [a sitcom saying from the 70’s]
Am I correct in my movements and beliefs? Only time will tell and the time when I shed the material skin will produce the answers, we all seek. But meanwhile I trust 100% that I am right and so far, the Universe has not proven me wrong. With that I will keep on traveling through energy shifts with my daily meditations, remembering to say, ‘thank you’ and best of all enjoying the choices I made with the material that I supply to myself. BUT!! Never getting so attached to the materialism in a way that I cannot let it go if that is shown to me.
Lastly, why are we doing this? Why can we not change our energy in our true home? This I cannot answer other than assume we cannot. Just like school when we enter kindergarten, we know that we will go into other classes and as we do, we then realise the whole school system brings us to university etc. etc. that creates new paths in what we choose. I ‘assume’ that the only way to change the energy in our true home is to take it into the material body where it is felt and can be created to change. That is my only explanation to self 😊 So that is my belief and time will tell when I return ‘home’ if I figured it out correctly.
