WOWSA!! How time flies. I am nearing my rest period as I like to call it BUT!! I still have a VERY busy November ahead of me so let me begin with where I left off last month. [September 25th]
Headed to Fort McMurray and YES!! Finally, I have found a quiet hotel, I cannot believe my good luck after all these years. PLUS!! They put me on the third floor with China. Most hotels put me on the first floor that seems to be designated for people and pets. Then once they discover how clean I leave my room I can usually ask for higher up floors but this time up I went without any waiting 😊 let it be known that as soon as I arrived home I booked the same hotel for the Fort Mac Xmas Show 😊 and the show was as per usual, fantastic, EXCEPT for the religious freak who left the nasty note on my chair that I discovered on Sunday morning. [I posted it on FB if you wish to read it]
Drove home on the Monday and as per usual rested all day 😊 Then my month started and seriously I was booked almost every day. Now I am not complaining, as I do know that it slows in January and February, so I greet the business with glee and send thanks to the Universe. 😊
BUT!! I do make time for myself to rest. That is a law I hold tightly to. So, lets cover Netflix: Finished the last 2 episodes of House of Cards. Enjoyed the entire season etc. but a wee bit disappointed in the ending. Then I watched Uglies that I gave a 7/10 to. The ending was set in the future and as I noted in my diary ‘I could see this happening in the future’. Then I watched Nobody Wants This with Kirsten Bell and Adam Brody. I gave it a 10/10 because of the dynamite chemistry between those two actors 😊 Next to my GREAT delight I started watching The Resident that was Six Seasons long with up to 23 episodes in some seasons. I truly have enjoyed 99% of it. The 1% was the stupidity they added about the fake flu and masks LOL. Sadly, it ended at Season Six. I do wish there were longer seasons and episodes like this for more shows. However, things like Prison Break and The Blacklist I watched on TV while they were being filmed. If you have not seen those two shows and have Netflix I HIGHLY recommend them. And you will not have to wait week after week for the next episodes 😊
Other than my resting time I got a ton of things done. First to my GREAT delight once the heat dropped my tomatoes turned from flowers to green. I picked at least 500 baby sweet tomatoes, and they sit in a bowl on my counter. Slowly, each day, about 10 of them are turning red. So, as I pass my counter I pop them into my mouth and enjoy 😊 The rest of the garden was closed and I put deep dark rich soil all over the growing areas so they will be ready for next year. Then I cleaned out my garage and took what I no longer need to the eco center. [batteries, broken CD system etc. etc.] Then I swept the floor, and it looks GREAT!! Cut down the lilies and other flowers in the front.
THEN!! My dentist had talked me into getting a cleaning. That is now covered in my age group. So, I went. I survived LOL. It was not what I thought!! It was more of a gum treatment/cleaning etc. And as I expect due to my PROPER food intake she said my gums were extremely healthy.
Based on the fact I follow my Personal Years in Numerology to the core 😊 and I happen to be in a Six Year that is all about home, hearth, and BALANCE up what needs to be balanced I followed the laws of this season 😊
HOME: I finally got my Hunter Douglas blinds installed into my bedroom. Set to an app and timed to close at 10pm and open at 9.30am 😊 I LOVE them. When I choose to go up to bed it is all dark. I no longer tap my phone when I wake as I know it is not time to get up yet 😊 I did buy other things for the house, but I plan to cover that in January as I talk about the season changes 😊
BUSINESS: My printer broke for some reason, and it was cheaper to buy another one rather than get it fixed. However, the actual laser color ones that I always buy were not on the ‘buy’ list yet as I plan to upgrade my computer when I do that. So, I bought a laser Canon in black and white for the time being. Then as I mentioned last month my Aurastar Bio Data Feed Back machine failed to connect. I fixed it myself with a new DB28 cord BUT!! Meanwhile I had connected with the company with plans to upgrade the machine if it had seen its days 😊 They took a few days to respond as it was the weekend BUT!!! Same great people are still running this company and lo and behold they are offering a VERY interesting crystal course in 2025. I intend to drive down to Vancouver for this. PLUS!! Stop on my way to do reads if any of my BC clients want me to. More on that later but it fits in really well with my spiritual year [Season Seven] that starts next year. I was also able to update my chakra booklets that now are handed out with the Mind Body and Soul read rather than my print outs on paper that I created 😊 I would not have contacted the company if the wire had not failed due to China chewing on it!! The Universe knows how to balance things that I may not have noticed needed that 😊
AND!! I also got my Xmas shopping done. Two reason: I hate shopping, but because I intend to put my van in storage by the 10th of December I am arranging everything now 😊 More on that as December arrives 😊
Took my grandson out to eat. We were going to Blaze for pizza but on the way we decided to go to Earls instead. I try to see my grandson at least once a month if not more 😊 Caught up on his new job and all that his life choices bring him to.
Got my GST done and filed. ‘Tis always the quarterly period that I owe a TON of money to the government. Luckily I do not spend that money and always have it to send 😊
FINALLY, I chose to take a day off. As October had started my phone rang daily. Thus, I was booked every day till the 23rd of October. I chose the 23rd to go Xmas shopping at the West Edmonton Mall and then my 24th booking chose to cancel. Which was kind of ironic as a person who failed to show up on September 24th [after paying a deposit for package 4] emailed me about the time she was booked for OCTOBER 24th!!! I informed her that she had been booked for the September 24th not October. She claimed that on September 3rd when she called I had said I was booked till October 24th. I replied, ‘no I said I was booked till September 24th’ BUT!! Now I was booked for October 24th. Since it was an obvious error I also offered her October 26th and NO REPLY!! Which as I stated, the October 24th landed up cancelling and I would have called this person to reinstate her but!! She failed to respond to booking her two days later.
I said oh heck lets just take that day off too. So, I did 😊 I went out and got groceries. Now keep in mind I am stocking up on things that I will need over the winter months. First stop early in the month was The Italian Center. One tin of maple syrup [this will be used in January for my Master Cleanse] olive oil [3L] truffle oil, tin of spraying truffle oil and vegetable oil. Cost: $141.41. Then I went to Bulk Barn twice this month as I needed dried beans to complete 12 meals for my last 3 shows. [I always bring my own food] and of course some meals for me 😊 vegan bouillon powder, large lima beans, red kidney beans, green split peas, chickpeas, organic quinoa, raw macadamia nuts, raw cashew nuts and a tube of natural toothpaste. Cost was $69.93. By the way, that will make my nut milk till my order of nuts comes in from BC in November PLUS a ton of meals. Lastly, I went to Save On Foods twice and bought cascade dish detergent pods, cascade rinse aid, 2 cauliflower, potato patties, vegan cheese in shreds, mushrooms, 3 large rolls of toilet paper, garbage bags, tin of salmon that was for China’s [my cat] birthday, veggie links, green goddess salad dressing, tons of bananas, nutritional yeast, vegan butter, kale, onions, oranges, apples, vegan yogurt, and soy creamer. All of that came to $259.17. So total monthly cost with a few stock up items was $470.51.
THEN my long-awaited lunch with my buddy Shannon took place on the 25th at Padamanis. I always enjoy chatting with people who jive with me. She also appears to have the same sense of humor as I do LOL!!
Then back to the last few days of October where I am busy almost every day.
One of them being a visit to the vet for China. She came down with what I can only call the flu. Sneezing constantly, her nose all stuffed up but still eating and drinking. However, my vet was not available till the 28th so I will update this as I am completing Chat on the 26th. Yes, other days of the month I do the other columns. I could never sit for hours on the computer. 2-3 hours is the MAXIMUM I can tolerate. 😊 I like doing other things better. UPDATE: China was prescribed eye drops twice a day called Tobradex Suspension 5ml. She has really cleared up with her flu-like symptoms by the time I was able to see my vacationing vet 😊 Thus the right nostril was still blocked hence the eye drops if that makes sense. Plus, she was prescribed once a day, ½ tablet of Cerenia so she would not feel sick, so said the vet. I will update next month on her prognosis. Cost in the lower column under Cat Costs 😊
November is starting out strong. I have a corporate event on the 1st with my backup psychic at the Shaw Conference Center and then at this point in time no bookings, except one Zoom on Halloween but two shows are on the horizon.
And just incase, in the other hours of the day I meditate after taking a massage in my high-end massage chair. I never miss a meditation. I try to get it done around 11am but if I go any later I feel off in an energy type way!! China has been my main center of attention this month. She turned 20 years of age on October 7th. She came down with the flu on the 17th. She is on her tenth day of the flu but still eating, drinking and using the litter box. All other mundane household things were done. Changing the sheets, laundry, picking up my shoe inserts, cooking [that I love to do] and of course keeping the home warm and toasty 😊
Know that as the days shorten you have the choice to enjoy the darkness and settle into the inner core of self. Just like nature that offers hibernation to much [ the trees rest, bears go into the cave, birds leave], so we too have the choice to REST. I see and hear so many people say it is depressing!!!! REALLY? Ask yourself why? The body needs rest, so buy the books you want to read, scribble in your journal, watch TV, plant inside plants, listen to your intuition and meditate. It is now our time to hibernate and enjoy the stillness from the darkness NOT allow yourself to believe in depression. Depression is your own making of what you perceive via your emotions. Study the emotions and change them. Emotions are energy, that is all they are. Energy can never be destroyed only RESHAPED and REPROGRAMMED.

Have any of you heard of Kenneth Law? For those who keep up with current events you may have. For those who bury their heads when it comes to the news, he is a 57-year-old man who is charged with selling sodium nitrite. BUT 😊 I am not going to write about his charges I am going to tell you what sodium nitrite is. First, Law is charged with assisting suicides as he sold this LEGAL powder in large doses to those who wanted to commit suicide. You can google this news and charges if you like as I am now going to carry on about this legal power and what it is used for. YES!! Below is copied and I apologize as I RARELY copy anything to go into my Newsletters. But I wanted to get this right. LOOK at what this LEGAL powder does. Now I know you will say ‘BUT it's only poison in large doses which is what Kenneth Law sold and told his suicidal clients to take’ BUT!! Where does it go when you ingest it with your foods? Into your bodies where it goes through an entire digestion journey. And you all wonder why cancer is so high? Here is your answer. Think about what pregnant people are doing to the growing body. How much does this TINY body need to have medical issues when born?
Again, I am NOT claiming to be of any type of medical certified person and am NOT giving out medical advice, I am posting facts. And one last comment here ‘I have never met a HEALTHY [meaning eating properly] vegan or a plant based [meaning eating foods with only plant-based creations] that has or have had cancer OR actually any other illnesses.
We would not have a health crisis as most are trying to call it, if people would eat properly and eat proper portions for the body size.
To make my point Kenneth Law is being charged with first degree murder for selling this substance in large doses BUT you the meat eaters of the world digest this every day. Think people think.
Sodium nitrite is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula NaNO It is a white to slightly yellowish crystalline powder that is very soluble in water and is hygroscopic. From an industrial perspective, it is the most important nitrite salt. It is a precursor to a variety of organic compounds, such as pharmaceuticals, dyes, and pesticides, but it is probably best known as a food additive used in processed meats and (in some countries) in fish products.
Sodium nitrite is used to speed up the curing of meat, inhibit the germination of Clostridium botulinum spores, and also impart an attractive pink color. Nitrite reacts with the meat myoglobin to cause color changes, first converting to nitrosomyoglobin (bright red), then, on heating, to nitroso hemochrome (a pink pigment).
Historically, salt has been used for the preservation of meat. The salt-preserved meat product was usually brownish gray in color. When sodium nitrite is added with the salt, the meat develops a red, then pink color, which is associated with cured meats such as ham, bacon, hot dogs, and bologna.
In the early 1900s, irregular curing was commonplace. This led to further research surrounding the use of sodium nitrite as an additive in food, standardizing the amount present in foods to minimize the amount needed while maximizing its food additive role. Through this research, sodium nitrite has been found to give taste and color to the meat and inhibit lipid oxidation that leads to rancidity, with varying degrees of effectiveness for controlling growth of disease-causing microorganisms. The ability of sodium nitrite to address the above-mentioned issues has led to production of meat with extended storage life and has improved desirable color and taste. According to scientists working for the meat industry, nitrite has improved food safety.This view is disputed in the light of the possible carcinogenic effects caused by adding nitrites to meat.
Nitrite has the E number E250. Potassium nitrite (E249) is used in the same way. It is approved for usage in the European Union, USA, and Australia and New Zealand.
In meat processing, sodium nitrite is never used in a pure state but always mixed with common salt. This mixture is known as nitrited salt, curing salt or nitrited curing salt. In Europe, nitrited curing salt contains between 99.1% and 99.5% common salt and between 0.5% and 0.9% nitrite. In the US, nitrited curing salt is dosed at 6% and must be remixed with salt before use.
The appearance and taste of meat is an important component of consumer acceptance. Sodium nitrite is responsible for the desirable red color (or shaded pink) of meat. Very little nitrite is needed to induce this change. It has been reported that as little as 2 to 14 parts per million (ppm) is needed to induce this desirable color change. However, to extend the lifespan of this color change, significantly higher levels are needed. The mechanism responsible for this color change is the formation of nitrosylating agents by nitrite, which has the ability to transfer nitric oxide that subsequently reacts with myoglobin to produce the cured meat color. The unique taste associated with cured meat is also affected by the addition of sodium nitrite. However, the mechanism underlying this change in taste is still not fully understood.
In conjunction with salt and pH levels, sodium nitrite reduces the ability of Clostridium botulinum spores to grow to the point of producing toxin. Some dry-cured meat products are manufactured without nitrites. For example, Parma ham, which has been produced without nitrite since 1993, was reported in 2018 to have caused no cases of botulism. This is because the interior of the muscle is sterile and the surface is exposed to oxygen.
Sodium nitrite has shown varying degrees of effectiveness for controlling growth of other spoilage or disease causing microorganisms. Although the inhibitory mechanisms are not well known, its effectiveness depends on several factors including residual nitrite level, pH, salt concentration, reductants present and iron content. The type of bacteria also affects sodium nitrite's effectiveness.[ It is generally agreed that sodium nitrite is not effective for controlling Gram-negative enteric pathogens such as Salmonella and Escherichia coli.
Other food additives (such as lactate and sorbate) provide similar protection against bacteria, but do not provide the desired pink color.
Sodium nitrite is also able to effectively delay the development of oxidative rancidity. Lipid peroxidation is considered to be a major reason for the deterioration of quality of meat products (rancidity and unappetizing flavors). Sodium nitrite acts as an antioxidant in a mechanism similar to the one responsible for the coloring effect. Nitrite reacts with heme proteins and metal ions, neutralizing free radicals by nitric oxide (one of its byproducts)] Neutralization of these free radicals terminates the cycle of lipid oxidation that leads to rancidity.
UPDATED: This was cool, at least in my eyes 😊 In my 20’ and 30’s I really found Edgar Cayce to be fascinating as I read about him. Now I truly thought I was done with writing this column BUT!!! I was heading to my massage chair where I sit and wait for my clients to arrive as it faces the driveway where they are instructed to park. As I passed my bookshelf Edgar Cayce’s book ‘Encyclopedia of Healing’ literally caught my eye. Now at times I meditate and sometimes I just open a random book and see what page opens for me. I have not done this in a long time but felt compelled to do it even though I had done my meditation for the day. I sat in the chair and focused inwards and asked for an answer to what they wanted me to be aware of 😊 AND!! The book opened to page 103 and there lo and behold was a massive explanation on how Edgar Cayce would go into his trances and give answers to those who had cancer!!! I am not going to copy the entire thing. You can buy the book on Amazon if you care. You can Google who Edgar Cayce was if you do not know, but here is the answer that I am placing.
“Title: Cancer and Tumors:
Although no two treatments for either condition were alike, a definite pattern emerges. Special emphasis was placed on diet.
The diet was to be rich in alkaline-reacting foods in ten cases of breast cancer and tumors. Foods to be avoided were starches, fatty or fried foods, and ALL MEATS. Brazil nuts and almonds were HIGHLY recommended as they were reported to contain elements vital to the prevention of cancer.”

CAT COSTS
Cat Costs: A vet visit was needed for my wonderful baby due to her getting the flu. It took 10 days to see my vet so by then she was almost OK. Her right nostril was still blocked so a prescription of Tobradex Suspension was prescribed to her right eye!!! Yup, supposingly this will go into her right nostril. Also Cerenia, that the vet said would stop her feeling sick and I also bought 2 small tins of high fiber food. Cost $197.19
I bought her some packs of treat when I was out at Canadian Tire buying snow shovels at the cost of $11.55. Nothing else was needed.
The Total cost for October was $208.74 [includes GST]
If you are thinking of getting a pet please know that from the cute stage, they grow with a personality to the adult stage. Animals feel unconditional love from their souls. They get attached and used to their homes. If you cannot give up 12-18 years and maybe longer, do NOT get a pet. It is not a companion till you find a mate, have a child, or decide to move to an apartment that will not allow pets, it is a companion for life. They also need dental care, checkups, and GOOD food. Not this cheap, no-nutrient food that I see so many people buy. Your pets will suffer later just as you would if all you ate was junk.
Look at rescue places for loving animals. These pets will not only be grateful, it's almost like they know you saved them and love and adore you for it. Think before you add to your life. Can you give this type of commitment? If the answer is yes then enjoy looking for your new companion. Think older if you can, for some reason, older pets are harder to re-home and they are much sadder as they wait not knowing what it was they did to be removed from their homes.

Last month I wrote about learning how to ‘hear’ after you meditate. I just want to add one thing to this. You can test who you are ‘hearing’ by asking a question about upcoming things. One of the things I always try to ask is ‘who will win the election’. Now when the UCP and NDP were heading into our provincial election I asked and distinctly heard Danielle will win [UCP] Someone, and I cannot recall who, posted on FB about something I said. I replied that I KNEW the UCP would win as I had heard it LOUD and clear. She replied I was wrong. HMMMM!!! It appears either her intuition was wrong or however she thought she received her messages because Danielle won 😊 .
Now one last thing LOL, yes I have asked about the USA election and what I am hearing is Trump will win. We will see if the correct voice was heard. By the correct voice you can ask questions and then get to understand what I mean by whether you were right or not. Remember you will not always ‘hear’ the correct voice.
Now onto mediumship as I promised. I believe The Long Island Medium; I think her name is Theresa from TV is a fake. I used to adore James Van Praugh until I saw him in person. I know he is a fake.
I have met many who think they are mediums or take your money claiming to be. A long time ago I was at one of the psychic fairs [1999] and sat with a woman who had glowing words about her abilities as a medium on her table. She waves her finger at me and says, ‘your father is standing behind you’!!! So, I reply, “that too funny as I just left him ALIVE in Christina Lake, BC where I had gone to visit while traveling to Vancouver” Oh she replies quickly “then it is your grandfather he is in uniform”. NOW!!! In World War 1 and 2 all males served and most would be in unform. Nothing she said made sense and she never even picked up England which is where my grandfather lived and died in his life. [in fact, both grandfathers served and lived and died in England]
Now moving onto to a person who started in the field around 2010 I believe. She claims [yes she still is doing this] to contact your dead relatives. She does group and one on one. She says LOL "It does NOT matter what they died from on this earth plane”. OH???? Well excuse me but it does. Why do I say this? Because if they cannot tell you what they passed away from on this earth plane how do you or the person whose hard-earned money is being taken able to know it is truly them? If you cannot ‘hear’ or ‘see’ that simple answer then why would you think the rest of the messages are them? I am tired of fakes who give these ‘I am sorry’ ‘I am OK’ but give no further proof that this is the loved one you wish to hear from.
I do NOT bill myself as a medium but as many of my clients will tell you I have received messages from beyond when and IF they choose to come in. While I read the cards this will happen all of a sudden. How? I will ‘feel’ an energy shift and just ‘know’. I wrote about my lost cat last month [ October’s Newsletter] in this column that explained this to a point. The very first thing I get is how they passed away. They get ONE chance to tell me in a descriptive way. If it is not correct I tell my client ‘I am sorry, but they have one rule/law and that is to be accurate, and they have not been accurate’. If I cannot ‘hear’ feel’ the exact illness or how they left I do not continue as the messages would not be accurate’. Now I have had some AMAZING connections and some reads none at all. That is why I do not bill myself as a medium.
So, my advice to people who claim to be mediums make sure you have a code or connection that is the ‘law’ for those who do arrive.
For the client who spends money on those who call themselves mediums make sure it was not written on your Facebook page OR on any of your kids Facebook page etc. That is where I believe The Long Island woman gets her information. Make sure whoever is claiming to ‘hear’ or ‘see’ or ‘feel’ gives you validation not just ‘they are Ok’ messages 😊
And for those who proclaim, or are trying to become mediums, here is how to do it. First it takes a LOT of practice and getting to the ‘connection’. Each individual will have a different connection. Myself I open up ALL my reads with what I presume is my crown chakra spinning. I say ‘presume’ as I really do not know. It is a turning within the top of the crown and as I connect with my crystals it happens. It did not happen right away as I entered into the business of reading, but one day I felt it. From that day forth I always wait till the turning happens. With the readings where I cannot get this turning feeling the read will be generic. By generic I mean the things I hear from clients that some psychics say. IE: “In 3 months, you will take a trip”. That is fine, but tell them where they are going, how they will travel, how long they will stay, if it is safe to travel or if it will get cancelled, how many people are going. You need to do a PROPER read, not generic.
Once this inner crown turning happened I found a profound difference in the channeling of the read. To the positive of course 😊
And so, for those who wish to have this option to their lives you need to ‘connect’. That is the only way I can describe it. All energy is felt differently by each individual as they work with inner energies that connect from the soul level of energy. That is where you pull in the answers. And the soul leaves the body each night through the crown chakra and that is why I presume this is the energy I am now connecting to.
All reads are different for each individual and as you connect to their loved ones have a ‘law’ as I stated that they must tell you something so the person you are doing this work for KNOWS it is their loved one. And what is best is the proper description of how they passed from the earthly plane. If you cannot do that you are not a medium. You are not connecting.
I do not go into any reading with the promise of any loved ones coming through. I allow it to happen and when it does it is AMAZING 😊 But also very emotional at times.
NEXT MONTH: Honestly I will think of something. Probably beliefs in energy and more on that power.

KALE SALAD

Across from where my grandson worked is K and B. A plant based/vegan type café with the most delicious Massaged Kale Salad. I drove by there twice this month and picked up the salad both times. BUT!! Both times the bill was $25. Yup $25 for a simple salad. I decided to make it myself. Now as for the dressing you can buy it at K and B, but I have not gone back there so I made my own for now.
Ingredients: 10 or less, you decide, leaves of kale. Tear into bite size pieces. Add a small amount of olive oil and a few drops of lemon juice and massage it for about 5 minutes.
Now to that add a handful of sunflower seeds, [shelled] a handful of pumpkin seeds, a handful of dried cranberries and lastly ½ an apple chopped into bite size pieces.
Dressing: Taste as you build it 😊 ½ cup approx. Olive oil, 1/2 tablespoon Dijon mustard, 1 tablespoon agave, [ that is a raw sweetener] and lemon juice. Add lemon juice a teaspoon at a time and taste. Adjust these ingredients to the taste you would like. Pour over the salad and mix well. Serve right away.
PS: This will be one of my raw food recipes for my raw food group that is starting in January 2025.
Next Month: Again I am not sure yet. I am trying not to buy too much food as I am going raw in January after my master cleanse.
